How to configure windows update client

Hi,

I've downloaded the windows update server sus software, to allow clients on the network to update from one of our servers.

But how do I configure the windows update on the client machines to point to the server?

I've downloaded the SUS client from MS -- it's called WUAU22.msi. All it seems to do is update Wupdmgr.exe.

How do you point it at a local SUS server (in a non-ActiveDirectoy environment? There are very complex instructions in SUS_Deployguide_sp1.doc where you edit the Registry -- I'm wondering if there's an easier way.
