I have a network printer at Ip address 192.168.8.23 and want to configure my sun fire v210 to print to the network printer.
The printer name should be configured as sunny.
The printer model is HP Laserjet 4050.

Also I dont have access to GUI neither I can export display.
I need to configure remotely using putty software (ssh).

I am not very familiar with this scenario.

Thanks in advance

Franz,

Can you provide me with the links where I can learn more about converters and filters.

Desmond D'Souza is not in relation with me.

do you have a sunsolve online account?

if not, just google for "Solaris lpfilter unix2dos" guessing you will find many instructions about how to write a simple lp Filter for Solaris. A realy simple one is convert a UNIX file (just has a LineFeed) to DOS (each line has a Carriage Return and a LF)

Desmond: hmm, another IT hype guru lost somewhere? ;-)

Best Regards, Franz
