Hello, I have an IP Office 500 V2 R11.1.2.3 and need to add multiple IP Dect Base Units from Grandstream DP750.. Anyone knows how to setup DP750 in Manager?

it is a SIP extension and user in the IPO then you need to create the same extension in the DP750 registering to the IP Office
3 settings besides the SIP server
User name
authentication name
password

not sure what is exactly what but in the IP Office it is extension number, Name and password in the extension setting. I usually make the User - Telephony - Supervisor settings password the same to avoid issues.

Thank you Westi, So no need to create a SIP Dect Line in the IP Office, correct?
Also, I have about 20 DP720 IP sets and 4 DP750 Dect Base Units.. Do I need to add these DP720 sets to every single DP750BU?

no SIP DECT as that is for Avaya cordless phones only.

You have to connect the 750 Base Unit to the IP Office then the 720 cordless to the base unit and you have to of course have 1 of the 3rd party IP endpoint licenses for each extension you connect.

Noted! Thank you.
For the second part I was referring to the max number of SIP users can be added on a single DP750..

It looks like each DP750 can only host 5 Handsets.. Does that mean cordless users are unable to roam between Dect base units as I need to setup 20 sets over 4 DectBUs?
Meaning Handsets registered with BaseUnit1 are unable to get signal if they are in the Base Unit2 range only?

I have never setup one of those specifically, but I have a couple thoughts.
Do you the the required 3rd Party end point licence?
If so, then edit the extension and under Voip, make sure enter the IP address of the unit, and reserve a 3rd Party Endpoint License.

funny thing is that I had one of these DP750's here and set it up.

Yes 5 handsets can be registered to the base and you can therefore use 5 SIP accounts to the IPO but you also need then 5 of the 3rd party IP endpoint licenses.

As for the move from baseunit 1 to baseunit 2 that is a Grandstream feature and the handsets I looked at online can only register to a single base unit.

WiFi phones if you want to stay Grandstream can use the WiFi and register directly to the IPO without a base unit.

It is really funny Grandstream won't allow roaming between Dect Base units.. I am going to add DP760 overlapped repeaters to extend the coverage of each DP750 Base
