Hello folks,

I want to split the SIP users in my AVAYA SIP Environment, example: user1@domainOne.com, user2@domain2.com
I have tried to find documentation to do that, but I have not been able to find the correct information.

I need to be able to add any new domain in the phone system environment without affect the actual configuration.
Please let me know your comments,
Thank you very much in advance!!!

as far as I know, CM can be authoritative to only one SIP domain - ultimately that of the network region of procr.

I saw a section in System Platform >> Home >> Elements >> Routing >> Domains >> Domain management

I saw more than 1 domain there, I think there is a way to split the phones in different domains but I have not found any documentation to modify that information.

Please let me know your comments,

That's for domain based routing. SM's admin guide covers the detailed routing logic of how it matches locations and subdomains.

Still, as far as I know CM may only be authoritative (read: provide service to SIP phones) for a single domain. All my SIP phones would need to be @bestbuy.com, and my CM will have SIP trunks with far end domain bestbuy.com for the stations but can also have other sip trunks with domain aam.bestbuy.com or aaep.bestbuy.com or skype.bestbuy.com when CM wants to send calls to those domains.

If you had SM dial patterns like *@aam.bestbuy.com and *@skype.bestbuy.com, then you could map those patterns to SIP entities like your AAM or your Skype mediation server.

I still think you're going to have a hard time building a domain bestbuy.com and walmart.com and building SIP accounts in them that sequence to the same CM. I think you'd need 2 CMs for that.

Exactly this is what I need:

Is there a document where we can find this?
I need to provide evidence of this statement, thank you very much in advance!!!

They say it in a roundabout way. I guess in theory with CLANs you could get around this restriction. But, if you need to set the authoritative domain on the region of the interface of the NEAR end of the sig group for SIP phones and that's only procr, then you only got 1 place in CM you can have an authoritative domain for procr.

Open that doc, press 'end' and read the last page ;)

Again, some of that stuff might be different now and I missed the memo, but I try to keep up with this stuff and I do recall it being absolutely true that CM can only be authoritative to a single domain and hearing nothing new to the effect of that changing.

"This setting can be also administered on the SIP phone through the craft interface. It is important that
the authoritative domain be set on the ip-network-region of interface used on the near end of the
signaling group used by the SIP phones. In most cases this will be the NR associated with PROCR. This is
necessary for successful subscription of the SIP phone. In addition, the far end domain needs to be set
on the signaling group form.
