How to compare backup files to originals - Acronis True Image Home 2011

I have many backups using it. I would like to compare a list in the backup to the original files, to verify that the backup is complete. What is the easiest way to do this? Thank you.

I don't use Acronis myself but the program I do use from Terabyte has a built in Validation that you can set to run after the Backup. Does Acronis have any such option?

Acronis does have a built in validation; however what I am looking for is validation between acronis and my "C" drive.

I think you'd have to do a restore to a different location and then do a compare. For comparing two folders, I use a utility called WMATCH. Bought it from PC Magazine years ago. It will show views about the folders and the items in them that are:
1. only the items that are different between the folders
2 only the items that are the same in both folders
3. all files with color indicating status

nice and free.

Not 100% sure if its what you need but looks like a nice comparison and sync tool
