In my program i give the user an option to open a report in Preveiw mode so that he can see the report before printing it.

Problem is, for security reasons I took of all menu bars, Therefore there is no close option when the form is maximized.

How can I give the user a way to close the form.

Thanks

Hi,
Can you try pressing the ESC key? HTH, [pc2]

You can always close any window in Access, including previews, by using Ctrl + F4 (pressed together).

You can add "Autokeys" that are easy to be memorised by the users :
Go to the tab Macro
Choose New
Normally the column "Macro Name" is not visible. Choose View and click on Macro Name.
In this column type ^c (^ is the character you will find next §)
Then fill in the action : Close
fill in the other topics. (Report, reportname etc....)
You can create other Autokeys in the same way like ^o for an "Open action" etc
Give your New macro the name AutoKeys.

When you press <alt> and <c> then the report closes.

Thanks to all of you. randysmid , jigjag and johanap.

All of you gave me great ideas.
I really appreciate it.
Thanks

You could also create a custom toolbar with just close on it so they can close the report from a menu bar.
