I'm adding moh to a magix system. In aux equip the moh is comming up system busy when pressed. In system maintenance there are alarms and errors.
Do they need to be cleared, how can I get details about the errors. Can this all be done via the mlx20 phone?

system needs to be idle to program a line to MOH

use your drop button above the HOLD on your MLX 20 to clear alarms

Yeah, HOH is one of those things that requires system idle. And if you're trying to clean up old junk, you can indeed clear errors via an MLX-20L (Maintenance > Error Log > Transient Errors...kill, kill, kill).

There's a pdf with all the error codes in it, but I like to go here: when I'm in a fix. It's quick and provides the same information.

My advice to you on the alarm piece is clear everything and make the light on the Operator console disappear. He/She will be happy and then let it be. If you continue to get the same type of alarms, then post back. There are some errors (depending on the vintage) that are reported on cards that make no sense. For example, a "sanity check" has no meaning for a DS1 card, though an older version of Legend will report that. Other things could mean real trouble. Plenty of us here can help determine that.

The short version of my story is that you don't want to dwell on errors unless it's truly called for. That plus what Bob already said about the system needing to be idle for MOH assignment.
