hello

I'm wondering how to checkin a tape that has been logicaly checked out, but still inside de library because the bulk was full.

I can't see it using q libv
I can 't see after audit libr
I can't manage to do a checkin command. This command alway ask me a tape from Entry/Exit port

I can see it when I do a Show slots <libname>

Thanks for your help

Hello,

IF the volume has been checkout but it was still inside the library because the bulk was full (i.e you do a q libvol and do not see the volumes), you need to run the following checkin command:

dsmadmc> checkin libv library_name search=yes status=value checklabel=value

You can replace the approprite values in the above command. The volume will be searched inside the library and they will be checked in (i.e will appear in q libv). You can then check them out if you want.

I would do an audit on the library like so:

audit libr LIBRARYNAME checkl=barcode

then do the checkin. This will refresh TSM w/ what the library inventoried on its last scan.

If you know the volume name, then just issue the standard checkin command with a search=yes, status=private.

Hope this helps.
