I need to play an swf file, on a selected area on the flash screen. How do I create a selected area on the screen, and play play an loaded swf file into this area. And where can I control this area in flash? Is there a option where I can set heigt and weidt (not for the hole flash window, only on the area where I want to have the swf movie.

I want to make it in pure flash, no html.

Can some of your smart guys help me out. plz

You will have 2 swf files. Your main swf and the one to be loaded in. Make them both the same size.

Decide what you want on the movie to be loaded and what area you want it to load to. I usually create my loaded movie objects in the main timeline and then make a movie clip out of it once I get it the way I like it. This can be copied to the loaded movie then.

I don't feel as though I am making much sense here....

basically if your two movies are exactly the same size then think of them as 2 transparencies. The loaded movie will lay right over the main movie. With a little trial and error and using the info tab you shopulkd be able to get the objects to show up exactly where you want it. And by using a movie clip to contain your objects in the loaded movie, you can control the exact size.

I hope this helps...If you need more specific help with any of this, please let me know. Ya' Gotta Love It!

First thanks for you respond!
But I'm confused here..

I'm thinking of another idea.. Is there any chance to make a swf movie to a symbol. If it could work... then I can control the screen size, and where on the screen it should appear.

Can you help me?

I think what you want to do is create a movie clip. Select Insert/new symbol and then name the symbol in the box provided and make sure the checkbox beside "Movie Clip" is checked. Hit ok.

You can now put whatever you want whether it be animation, text, other symbols, or whatever in this movie clip. Once you are complete go back to the main timeline and create a new layer...name it movie clips or whatever suits your fancy. Drag the movie clip you created out of the library and onto the stage.

This can be located wherever you like and resized to whatever you like.

Is that more along the lines of what you are looking for? Ya' Gotta Love It!

Thanks TulsaJeff, just what I been searching for.

Should I import my swf file to the movieclip? If then how, without loosing all data from the swf file. Or can I link to the swf file?

I found a password box in *.fla and swf. I'll try to make it a movieclip, but after I made the movieclip, then I want to import all from the passwordbox.fla, but it can't be done. Then I tryed the .swf file, and then it import it, but the it havn't imported all of the swf file, because I still havinf a blank screen.

What can I do, to have this imported? I know that I have to learn how to do it, because this is the only problem I keep running in...

If you have the .fla then you should just tear it apart and see how they did what they did to make it work. Learning flash takes time and you can't expect to be a pro overnight. Spend a lot of time looking at other fla files. Ya' Gotta Love It!
