Greeting
I need this urgently
i have 2003 server as a web server , with multiple users created (no active directory)

i want to get a log of when users are logged in and out inside windows ??
they are not using the administrator profile

is there anyway windows keep this information somewhere, i searched and i can't find

any help will be greatly appreciated
thanks

First, have you checked the Event log? Second, are you even logging logon events?

You state that AD is not loaded on the server, but is the server a member of a domain?

Anyway, to check if you are logging logon events, Run gpedit.msc, go to Computer Configuration->Windows Settings->Security Settings->Local Policies->Audit Policy, and on the right hand side, ensure that "audit account logon events" is set at success, failure (if that is what you want).

Thanks for the reply,

in the gpedit > audit account was success >>
where do i find "local security log" ?
thanks again

i can't find anything in the event log

event view >>security log is what I believe you want. correct me if I'm wrong

eventvwr at the run box.

Teknoratti has it correct. That is where you should be able to see logon events.
