Hi All, I was looking for a way to check the client version for all my GW clients like from Console 1. Does anyone know of an app that can help with this?

Check this out.. If you have the HTTP component running, this will show you (when they are logged in).. The HTTP component is not usually on by default, but is signified by the /HTTP switch in the config file (not recommended) OR the HTTP Port setting in ConsoleOne on the Post Office Agent Object. You just log into the HTTP agent and you should be able to find it..

There is also a switch, I believe in GW7 only, that you can set and it will highlight any older versions as the names go by in the console screen (Netware only).

Unfortunately we are not using Zenworks...I have searched the novell site for the switches used with GW Monitoring Agent, however I dont see one that fits this situation. We are using GW 7.

I am limited in my rights to the email servers as full admin rights are only given to those who manages several of our sites. I have the ability to create, edit, move users from within any of the Post Offices. Is this something I would have access to do?

it's in the properties of the poa object

personally i always like these on but hey ..

i think it's a default
it will have a username and pwd though - i prefer setting these in console1 rather than the config file -
