Hey guys I'm a little new to IIS. I got a question concerning where to change where IIS listens to a port number. I know by default it is set to listen to port 80 (HTTP). I want to change it to listen on port 12300. I'm trying to use this software where you host your own web site with a dynamic IP. You install some client software that will always update their dns servers with your changing ip. My problem is that my ISP has port blocking installed due to the code red II virus. It only blocks port 80 though. I know that I could change it to port 8080 but I need to use port forwarding on my Linksys router but, it uses that port for remote administration.
I know that you go to services and applications then to IIS, then click on your default web site and get to properties then in there you can change the port where it listens on.
So after expling all that could anyone please tell me if there is anywhere else in IIS that I would need to configure to change where IIS listens to port address. And would IIS work with port 12300?
Thanks so much for your help. Greatly apperciated.
