Any one who can help me ?
We have NEC SL 1000, my boss want to change the voice prompt.

Hi belevedere,
Thanks for your reply.

I tried the instruction on the attached file. but i dont know how to start, because im just a beginner on that unit.
Can you teach me step by step on how to record or change the Welcome message.

Thanks in advance

Press the VM soft key, or dial the VM pilot number + extension number. If that extension has admin rights, dial 72 + 4 + 001/002 for the greetings. This procedure is for the SL1100, but it should be the same for the SL1000.

Usa el código asignado para grabación 11-10 20
En el menú 25-06 define las extensiones a las cuales sera redirigido el usuario.

Hi Belevedere,
This is my operator phone

How do i find the VM soft key here? and how do i find the VM Pilot number + Ext. Number to start a voice prompt recording.

I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance Bro.
God bless.

No soft keys on that old system. Try dialing 3999. Usually the default VM pilot number.

Belvedere

Wasn't it something like 299 on the older systems (I was more of an ICS7400 tech in those days). For example, what was the VM pilot number on the SL110?

The SL1100/2100's it's 3999. The SV8100/9100 it's 299. Check MB 11-07 for the pilot number. Usually it uses the last department group.

Hi Belevedere.
I tried dial 3999 but there's no response on the unit.
Is this the way to change our voice prompt message from Incoming call from outside ?
Thanks ..

Hi Belevedere,
This is our current set-up of NEC SL1000 in our Office.

Receptionist(Operator) - She's the only one can receive Incoming call from outside of our company, and She will be able to transfer from outside call to internal office of per department using our Local number (Ex. 201 to 223).
Our management want to change only the voice prompt message from Incoming call from outside.
this is our current Voice prompt "Thank you for calling (Company name) if you know the local number please dial it now."
Thank you for helping me.

Godbless

Just a thought, press help then each of the 24 one touch keys, it is possible that the vm access is on a DSS key. Once you find that then tey the receptionist mailbox for the adnin rights as belevedere has instructed above.

The Service code of this model is = 716
the VRS Message will pop-up
Recording: press 7
Listening: press 5
Erase: press 3

so I proceed to press 7 to start recording
