Hello,

I should change two tapes media server (med1=media server), because now those tapes are assigned to master server (mas1=master server) and master server does not have any tape drives.
bup-mas1: > nbemmcmd -listmedia -mediaid R02518
NBEMMCMD, Version:6.0MP5(20060530)

Media ID: R02518

Media Type: HCART2

Application: Netbackup
Media Flags: 1

I have tried to change media server with command:
vmchange -h mas1 -res -m R02518 -mt HCART2 -rt tld -rn 1 -rh med1 -rc1 704

I have done this in master server and media server, but media server does not change. How I can change tapes media server without using bpexpdate -d 0 command?

Master and media servers are solaris 10.

Regards
Henrik

Try this command to move the media from the master to the media server.

bpmedia -movedb -ev <media_id> -oldserver <decommissioned_media_server> -newserver <media_server_inheriting_media>

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much, this did work :)

Regards
Henrik
