Hi,

i've to change a writer :

i use CHGWTR WTR(PRT01) FORMTYPE(*SAME *NOMSG) command,
but i've to do it after each IPL ...

Is there a way to change permanently this parameter ?
I didn't manage to find the FORMTYPE parameter in CRTDEVPRT command ...

Thanks for your help !

Look about changing the device description, see if that helps. It is CHGDEVPRT then specify your PRT01.

Yes,
that's what i thought, but this parameter doen't exist in the CHGDEVPRT command...

I have been browsing for the last 10 15 minutes, and I do not see a way to permanetly change it.
Do you have a start-up CL job that runs every time the machine IPL's. If you do, you could add the command to it.

Yes, i will do it that way if i don't find another ...
Thank you for your help !
