Hello,

Would it be possible to get information on how to change a password on admin login account for 7.5.

If so can you send me a link or let me know what commands to use?

Thank you below is LD 22 information.

It is actually completely outlined in NTP NN43001-604, 05.03. You will find the instructions starting on page 209. You will need the install media and someone onsite.

You also need to do this via PDT so you have to know how to get in there, but again documented in the NTP guide.

actually admin login is changed on security server. Just login with internet explorer, go to user administration and change your password. I think you can also do it at login screen.

my mistake. working on this problem for an earlier release this morning. correct. you change the admin from UCM on 7.5.

hi,

If you have UCM security admin passwords you can login to pdt with this account. and it will direct you to the ovelays. You can change all passwords.

Regards

All,

Thank you for the responses.
However I should have stated(my apology) when I go to the web.

I am not able to login. So I go through another device that has a direct connect to the PBX and all can only command line(no gui access :((sad face).

The other systems I have are able to.

Any further steps or LD information on how to change is still welcome and appreciated.

I have not used 7.5, can you still go to LD 17 and change passwords?

Buddy,

Thank you so much.
I did run into an issue after I changed the password to the account, I ran EDD in ld 43 and tried logging in with the new name and password.

However it did not let me in, Have you ever run into this issue before?

Thanks

Jen

on 7.5 logins and passwords that you create will not work directly on the switch, unless you remove from the security domain. That is what UCM brought into the picture.

Now you log in via the UCM admin login, or whatever login/password you set up in UCM to log in.

Scenario:

Go to TTY terminal. You would log in with your UCM login/password. The switch then polls the UCM server for your information and then sends back your login credentials to the switch and the UCM logs you in.

This applies to call server logins as well as pdt logins. If you want to change the admin password that must be done at the UCM server and not though the switch.

The only way to get around this is to unregister the call server from the security domain and it will go into emergency mode, or whatever they call it and you can use your admin1/admin2 or lapw logins.
