How to change extension on the phone?

Hi all,

I have an Avaya IP 5610SW phone that I need to set it to a different extension. Is there a way to do this from the actual phone?

I was told hold the * down as I'm booting up but that only seems to get me to the IP and system stuff, not the actual extension the phone needs to be.

Hmm, doesnt seem to be working :-( any other ideas?

It does work, has on every 46,56 and 16xx handset I have used, Did you try both "Hold" 564633# and "Mute" 564633# ? I have never seen it not work, you could try a Hold/Mute 25327# (Clear) but that will wipe all settings including address and gateway etc

Maybe it's the firmware I have or something..

I did not try both at once but..

I did get it to work by Option, Right arrow to menu item Logoff
