Hi,

We are running CM 6.1.2 and we have been experiencing a problem calling certain toll free numbers. I have been working with our service provider to fix the problem on there end but they assure me we will keep finding numbers that we cannot call unless we make a change to how we are sending are caller ID info. When we call certain 800 numbers we get a fast busy signal everytime. OneComm is telling me that we are not displaying our caller ID as a"NATIONAL #" but we are in fact displaying "SPARE". Is there a simple setting change I can make so I can do some testing?

Thanks

The best way to troubleshoot that is to get on the router your PRI is terminated and debug q931 messages. make an 800 call that works and one that fails and compare the debugs.
You can see how the call is marked when going out. My guess is since some work and some don't it is your providers issue.
But with the debugs you can prove it and have them pressed to fix it.
the debug command is
debug isdn q931

If you need help, capture the two calls and post them here.

The phone you are testing from, can you add your DID # in the External Phone number Mask towards the bottom of the Directory number configuration page and test it then to see if you see outbound digits and to see if the toll frees all work? Some of these numbers, the ones you cannot get to, may have an auto reject set up if they do not see a number.

Are both working and failing 800 numbers go out as unknown?
