It's been a while since I have worked on a PARTNER Mail VS voicemail system and I can't remember for the life of me on how to change the recording for 'Announcements'.

Example:

The customer has an option 4 in the Auto Attendant that plays an announcement for their business hours and directions. This recording needs to be rerecorded with a new employee's voice, who is also doing the main/day auto attendant recording, which I already know how to do.

These are the steps I have followed so far:

1. - Press voicemail button (or Int 777)
2. - Press 99#
3. - Press xxxx#
4. - Press 9 (hidden option)
5. - Press 3 (for auto attendants)
6. - Press 1 (auto attendant 1)
7. - Press 1 (day menu)

At this point I am lost... I know how to play the menu definition, which allows me to listen to the 'Announcement', but it doesn't give me the ability to rerecord it.

Any help would be greatly appreciate.

you don't state what mail ,on vmsR5
you need to modify the day
on selector code 4 choose annc 1 or 2 to record

There are 2 announcements available.

Do the steps you have so far, then press 6 to modify the menu.
When you are prompted to enter a selector code, press 4. You will hear the current setting, Announcement 1 or 2.
You will be given an option to record the Announcement. Pick that, and follow the prompts to record and end the recording, approve the announcement recording, then press *# to approve the Selector Code Changes. Press # again to keep the current Auto Attendant greeting.
