What's the easiest way to get trained/ certified as a phone tech working with panasonic equipment?

Is there home study available? or good books?

I understand the very basics of phone lines/jack and have been doing it for 3 months.

I am not working for a phone service company now, I assume that's the easiest for accessing trainings?

How about any other systems? Is one more popular than the rest? Avaya, NEC ?, etc .

Thank you in advance.

Sorry Quadpump! You have to be working for an Authorized Panasonic Dealer to be eligible for a class. The Dealer also has to pay for you to go, making it likely only for technicians with tenure to attend. Your best bet is to start as a cable-puller at a interconnect, be patient and ask questions. Most everybody starts out the same, its like most other careers. And don't forget there are other brands besides Panasonic.

Panasonic has some home study guides that allow you to learn about the analog KX-TA line of systems they sell. Try asking the place you buy your equipment from or call valley at 888-201-4030 and ask for the self study guide.

THE BEST WAY TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE ON PHONE SYSTEMS IS TO LOOK FOR OLD PBX / KEY SYSTEMS AND PLAY WITH THEM.
