How to capture TCPDump on Adtran gateway Total Access 908e 3rd gen

Hi Guys,

I am trying to figure out how to take tcpdump to capture sip and RTP traffic on Adtran gw but no avail. I could manage to capture sip packets but its in text format. Is there any other way that I can capture the packets.

Any clue guys...

I don't know the Adtran product but from a quick look on their site

Or you could setup a mirror port on the network switch that the Adtran is connected to.

If you want to catch RTP then you will have to mirror the port that connects the unit to the network and capture everything. Does the adtran control the RTP stream or does it still go peer to peer once the call setup is complete? If it is peer to peer then the only way to capture RTP will be to mirror a port where all the traffic goes through and then filter what you need out.

Not that I'm surprised, but asking for Adtran info on a Mitel site causes me to pause. Adtran makes great products and sip integration might work easier. 908e is a good product and Adtran support is the best IMHO.
