We have Norstar Phone system.

We have few lines and today I saw that one line is forwarded to our VM system port(#235).We are unable to use this line now.

How to remove this forward and how can this happen?

Feature #4 is to cancel extension forward(mean from one xternsion to another).

But this is from incoming line to VM system port which need to be cancelled.

We have 6 lines, out of which one line is is showing

In Use:235. This I want to cancel forward. 235 is VM system port

The line is locked up with your Vmail, it's not forwarded. You can pull the jumper at the block or reboot Vmail.

If it's always showing in use, then Dewey's right (and he usually is...).

Otherwise, it could be programmed as a "backdoor" number- to be answered by vm so users can call in to check messages, or dial an extension without bugging the staff to transfer them. You'd have to go to f983/AA/Lines to turn off answer on that line.
