Hello All,

I am just looking for a simple solution to be able to activate CF to dial from an ext to a cell number after hours. Bare with me please as I am by no means an expert on the BCM so here goes My thoughts......

1) can it be as simple as gathering a feature code like *72 from the LEC and try that from the ext (get DT enter code, enter fwding number, hang up).

2) program a CF external key (if this is an available feature on the BCM) on the phone and all the user has to do is press that button to activate CF every night.

Item 1: no

Item 2: Yes if your system uses routes & destination codes and enable redirect for the set. Then u can use feature 4

Yes to #1 if you have a private POTS line and the LEC has the feature on the line but this would only work for the line when it's called, if the set was intercommed then no forward takes place.
Best to go with #2 so all calls forward.

Thanks for the replies!! There is no dedicated line to that ext so i am going to rule out #1 as you suggested.

How can i program the set? i have added f4 to the set onto a key but when pressed it will allow the user to enter a 3 digit ext number only.

You have to have enable redirect selected under the capabilities of the extn.
Then press F4, then enter you access code what you use for an outside line followed by the number you want to forward to, then press the hold button to accept it

NCSS, NCDS, NCTS

If you dont have routes then you need to build one.

I am pretty sure access codes wont work unless using line redirect.

i just enabled redirect on the ext and have f4 already programmed to a key. will see if it works when i get someone from the site to test with me. if not i am going to need some help on building a route??

looks like someone may have built a route and named it 000 unless that is a default. It is set to use line pool A. Destination codes has nothing in the field.
