i have a windows 2000 server act as a domain and i have multiple workstation connected to it including win2000 pro.

There is a one win2000pro workstation that is disconnected from network( network cable is unplugged ),but this machine still can accept domain password to login and the login is sucsessfull.Amazing!!!! and no message displayed.

Anyone have to solution to prevent this to happend?

This is due to cached logons in Windows 2000. By default its set to 0-50.

You can prevent the DC from caching logons by editing the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Winlogon\

ValueName: CachedLogonsCount
Data Type: REG_SZ
Values: 0 - 50

set the Value = 0

For more detail check out the kb:

hope it helps
