How to Build the Cube, Based on Heirarchy ************ 1

Hi Amigos/ Amigas,
I have critcal Requirement, Anybody helps me, i wud say thanks to them.
My Rrquirement as follows........

I want to build a cube for a company showing sales compensation (SC) paid. The company has a sales hierarchy. The SC paid to a manager is not eqivalant to SC paid to sales reps reporting to him.

If a manager views the cube, he should see only the data for sales reps reporting to him. If there are more number of managers below him, then he should be able to view their sales compensation and also be able to drill down to lower levels.

How do I design this cube so that drilling by sales hierarchy is also possible, SC of sales reps donot roll up to SC of their manager and also security implemented?

I have a similar problem. In my case, I have a cube that I would like to drill thru to an imr when the user clicks on the row/col of the cube.
Unfortunately, the whole report comes up. What I want is only the relevant portion of the report to show up.

Cognos (knowledgebase) is pretty unclear on this, except to say that the field names of the report and the measures in the cube must be exactly the same.

I would appreciate any help in the regard.

From a drill through to IMR perspective, Powerplay Web does not function the same as Desktop. You have to actually select your values in the drop down boxes, then drill to your IWR report.

From a hierarchy standpoint, it sounds like you're trying to measure two different things. If you want to see Sales compensation by individual, then that is one measure you need. Using a reporting hierarchy of VP, Regional Manager, Sales Rep will take care of that. Then setting Userclass security in the cube based on that dimension.
It sounds like you are looking for a separate measure for the Sales Comp at a manager level. This either needs to be handled in separate cubes, or with separate hierarchies and measures within a single cube.

You problem can be Solved, Ensure that the Cube u r drilling thru to imr Report, make sure that the columns names of Cube and imr Reprot are same.
