How can I block people atheadquarters from making outbound calls to the newspaper business. The VP does not want people to call the newspaper company with certain information so I need to block outgoing calls to that number. Can this be done?

If you know the number I would just deny it in the ARS tables for your location.

example:

Dialed Total Route Call Node ANI
String Min Max Pattern Type Num

18665551212 11 11 deny fnpa

You could use ARS digit conversion and have it when they dial the new paper it calls the boss's number.. :) That should fix the problem.

Better yet, use digit conversion and then send it to a recording in your PBX and tell them they will be reported for misconduct.

LOL

so they get a busy and then just dial from their cell phone.

it sounds like the manager/ceo needs to actually manage his people rather than trying to tighten the chain around their necks.

Thanks everyone...well it didn't work people still sent information over to the news media. LOL
