Hi can seem to find this in all the books.
We need to stop people dialing the speaking clock
how do I bar the number 123

Hi
Do you want the people dialling 123 to go to a switchboard or barred totally ??

Colin

I want to bar the number completely or at least only let people who have international calls dial it.

Right you will need to DENY this in the special number block

LD 90
REQ chg
CUST normally zero
FEAT net
TRAN ac1
TYPE spn

SPN 1
FLEN <cr>
RLI <cr>
SDDR deny
DENY 23
<cr> back to REQ
that should do it

Colin

Thanks colin will try this in the morning.
What is the special number block?
will this block all numbers starting with 1?
I ask this because the number I want blocked is 123
and you have:-
deny 23
but spn 1 above. Is it just a typo or do you have to seperate the number?

thanks for the help

SPN's are looked at after a 9 is pressed,if you go into LD 90 and print the spn's you can see them all, they are excellent for steering calls, barring etc, the reason you only need to enter 23 is that there is a SPN 1 already programmed so as soon as you dial 9 123 it refuses the call, the same if you want to bar 192 ,, DENY 92,,,,

Colin

Worked like a dream thanks Colin.
Now one question I can see coming up in the future.
How do you remove this barr ?

Gary
Never done it myself, but I seem to remember that you OUT the SPN x and rebuild it, it is a good idea to capture an overlay before you change it (just in case !)I also remember that ALOW (allow) can be used instead of DENY, maybe someone else can explain it properly.
