I need to restore (format and reinstall) a computer. It has some software I don't have disks for. Some of it is downloaded stuff like RealOne Player, QuickTime, etc. Also the cd with the monitor software is missing. Seems like the computer store didn't do it's part. Is there any way I can backup the software and later get it working again, so I don't have to search and download it from the internet?

You can not back up software unless you are using a replication software at the bit level. You can, however, use a software like PC DNA to move all your registry and applications to a completely different PC.

Monitor software? I assume you mean graphics card.
