I am planing to backup a windows NT server to a Novell Netware server. Could someone tell me how should I do this. I am new to Veritas Backup Exec and Novel Netware. After I install the Backup Exec software in the Netware server how would I back up the NT server? Do I have to install a client or how would I do it? Send me an email if you have any documentation. Hoping to get some help here:)

I am currently running Backup Exec for Windows 2000 and am also backing up an NT 4.0 server running Exchange and a Novell 5.1 server. I purchased Backup Exec Server package and clients for the NT, Novell, and Exchange. So you need a server and client package for your media server, and client packages for each other server being backed up. And modules for Exchange, Oracle and Lotus Domino databases if you are backing them up also. I skipped the Oracle because itis not reliable yet. So this is the reverse to your question, but works. You could take this approach. Now can you use Novell as media server and install Clients for NT or W2K? Don't know, but probably can. Just call Veritas or e-mail their sales group.
