Hi everybody,

Help! Im quite new on EPO..
Could anyone of you guys guide me or give me some basic steps on how to automate printed generation of reports daily on a EPO 3.02a Server

We are currently using VSE 7.1 and EPO 3.02a.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is something our ePO team has been working on and still sits on the design board. We know you can use crystal reports to hook into the db and pull reports straight out. The nice ePo server canned reports use the crystal engine. If you accomplish that than you can publish them to a webpage or have them auto e-mail to people. I will follow up on this in the months to come. I have made requests to McAfee for better reporting (ROFL)

Many thanks!

I plan on having professional support for a couple days to do this very thing (hopefully)...I should have some info in a month or so.

Crystal Reports is a good solution for automating the generation and printing of reports. Although it isn't the easiest product to grasp. You might also want to look at a third party product called "Maestro".

This is a well designed product. It provides the ability for you to create your own custom reports against the ePO database, to save them for future execution and it is web front ended. So, all you have to do is point your web browser to the Maestro (web)server and log in. No more opening the ePO console.

Also consider that ePO v3.5 has real time alerting built into it. In case the reason you wanted automated generation of reports is to notify and provide containment of an outbreak. There is now a configurable auto-alert feature.
