Our company is implementing the Bar Code Distribution module in Progression. The one problem is that it appears that the bar code data for production order transactions needs to be imported manually by a user rather than being updated live on each scan, and our operations require this information be utilized live or within a few minutes of each scan. If anyone has any good suggestions of how to accomplish a more automated and timely importing of this data, it would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Did you also purchase bar code for POP? If so & you are using scanco, they have RF (real time) for POP.

Thanks for your response. Yes we do have the Bar Code module, and your RF reference helped point us in the right direction, and it appears that the Polling process is what will do what we need. The only problem that we are experiencing now is in trying to figure out how to have Macola mark these production orders as "complete" once the order has been completely filled. We can probably do this by adding something to the barcode, except it would be difficult to make sure that the case that indicates the production order would be complete is the last case scanned through for that order. If anyone has any ideas on this it would be a great help. Thanks!

If you process a POP order completion with a qty of zero, the order will be automatically flagged as closed.
