Hi,
I have created a Novell icon for a website using NWADMIN. However as soon as you click the icon, it connects to the page and asks for user name and pasword and domain as it is a secure site. This site is at a client location and has no ties with Novell. Is there some registry changes that I can make in the Application propertiers in Novell where those info can be saved and will be autopopulated every time someone double clicks the icon?

Thanks for your help.

need more info than that

remember novell is the company - not a product.

is this a nal app you are talking about ? or ?
versions etc would help. web site etc

Yes, it is a NAL application which start internet explorer and goes to a web site. As soon as the site is contacted, it asks for Network password to authenticate to the server. I have 300 users who will be using same user name and password, i want to auto fill this info so that the users dont have to type them in as typing it worng more than 3 time locks the account. I want to have the user name be filled as !SRCAEGIS00 password as !Welcome and domain as cable.

what is the web server and what is it authenticated too?

you need to throw us a bone - and if it is auto authenticated then why bother as you arent really authenticating ?

Ok, let me see if I can make sense out of this. I have a NAL application for a web site. When double clicked, IT explorer is launched with the URL and a box pops up saying enter network user name and password and domain for site epod. This is hosted at a client location not on our domain. To access the page we have to type in the user name, password and domain that client provided us each time we launch the page. I have some people misstyping these info and causing the account to lock up. I want to be able to autofill these info so that the users dont have to type anything. As soon as they double click the NAL icon, it will launch web page and autofill the user name and password and submit ok. Hope this makes little more sense.
Thanks for your help.

I agree .. If you are authenticating 300 people with the same username and password, why don't you just leave the password blank. Especially since you just told everybody what it is. That's not a secure solution and it's not something i could ever recommend. A better way would to require individual user names and passwords - use IDM to sync those with eDirectory. Then your users only have 1 password, but at least its secure.
