Hi,

I need to find an add-in or software to help me control the access rights for the source code in the vb6 project. My intention is to assign programmers to view and amend certain forms/ classes/ modules. They will not be able to access the other forms/ classes/ modules that they do not have access to..

Does anyone have any software/ add-in to recommand?

Thanks in advance..

HI panadol

You can always use NTFS in order to keep permissions or encryptions on your files, but is everyone working on the same PC?

If not, you can use Visual Sourcesafe. It allows you to make certain modules, forms etc available to certain users...

Hi x508,

Our current working style is to write the coding in our own local set of project. At the end of the day, we will update the server copy. Therefore, we are actually working on different pc.

As for the sourcesafe method, I only manage to use the sourcesafe to set the permission of certain users to access certain projects. It does not allow permission settings for individual modules, forms etc. Therefore, Please advice me further on what other ways i can do.

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,
