How to apply permanent filter to table?

I am trying to install a filter in a table, so that when the table get's opened, the filter automatically applies at the same time. I saw that there is a filter field in the general property sheet of the table, but I don't know how to use the field. I also created a macro with ApplyFilter and a WHERE clause, but I do not know how to call the Macro when the table is openend.

You shouldn't open tables to view or edit records. Use forms based on queries.
