I have an Access database that was upsized to SQL. Since then, there were a few additional records that I would like to import into SQL. In Access I would do an append query, but in ADP I am not sure how to accomplish this. The records are in a new table, have the same column headings as the main table. This must sound like a really silly question I know, but I'm affraid I'm not real experienced with SQL yet.

Hello,

I think the easiest way to do this would be by using a DTS-Package:

In SQL-Server Enterprise Manager this is done by selecting "Data Transformation Services" then create a new local package. In the new window select your sources (connections), in your case the "OLE DB PROVIDER" and your Access-Database. Connect them with a "Transform Data Task" where you specifiy the filter/tranformations of your data.
Execute the package.

Some data types (like bit-fields) perhaps need conversion, but you will see if it works. If not: report what happend...

Greeting from Germany,
Jens

Hi, Or just copy and paste them from the access table into the SQL server table, easy
