Hi,
Does anyone know how to append the logical log backup to the full system backup tape, since my full system backup DLT tape has lot of space. Wish that I can append the logical log backup to the DLT tape so that I don't have to assign another tape for the logical log backup. Besides, if this thing works, I would append the level 1 and level 2 backup to the same tape as well. Thanks in advance.

regards,
Cindy

You could backup your logical logs to file and append them manually to tape.
Usually if you define the same tape-device in the %ONCONFIG% for LTAPEDEV and TAPEDEV (assuming you work with ontape), the server should append it automatically.
If you do your backups with onbar and a storage manager, you should set the correct parameters in your storage manager settings, depending on your storage manager of course.
