I have CM6.3 and G650 gateways. We have a new 10MB AVPN SIP circuit that is stepped down to PRI in the router. The EHWIC card in the router has 2 RJ45 ports. I ran a T1 crossover cable from one of those ports to the back of a DS1 card (TN464) and configured it like a typical PRI. (b8zs, esf, isdn-pri signaling, b protocol) I have a D channel and 23 B channels working fine.

The part I don't understand is AT&T tells me there are 36 channels available so that gives me 12 more B channels. I can run another T1 crossover cable from the second RJ45 port from the router into the back of a DS1 board but when I go to program it I can't enter those channels in the trunk group using the same signaling group as the others. It says that second board isn't configured in the signal group.

Does anyone know how I can add these 12 extra B channels to my existing trunk group?

Off hand, I'd think maybe changing "associated signaling" in your sig group to "no" would let you use non-facility associated signaling, which is letting a D channel control B channels on more than just it's own DS1.

Awesome Kyle I think that did it. I'll have to wait for ATT to turn up the rest of the channels to test but it looks good. Cheers!
