Have a IBM thinkpad 760xd no floppy drive and need to install OS is adding a floppy drive the only option? And how do I add drive?

Check if the BIOS allows booting from CD-ROM.
If it does, just put in the windows CD, and boot to install. Cheers,

You can install from a bootable cdrom, if you don't have one fitted, you can get a PCMCIA cdrom or a PCMCIA floppy drive from most computer peripheral stores.

I don't believe you can boot from PCMCIA-based CD-ROM drives can you...? Just a thought. Hope this helps!
