We have 2 buildings connected with the Merlin system. One site(mine) has extensions in the 100s. The other site has extensions in the 200s.. I printed out the system directory of my site and its showing that we have one 200 number that was changed from 140 to 205.

How can I change an extension, say ext. 147, to ext. 222 even if its at a different site?

Ultimately we have a direct line coming from my site (ext. 100s) that we need forwarded to a 200 ext. at the different site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

The UDP table under system renumber tells the system which extensions are at the other site. Do a print of your UDP and you should see how it's set-up. It probably says anything from 200 t0 299 go to the other site. If you want x222 at your site now, you'd have to change that entry to 200 to 221 and then create another entry with 223 to 299. That way it takes the 222 out of the table and can recognize it locally.

I changed the 200 to 221, but it won't let me changed 223 to 299. It says it conflicts with the non local dial plan. The dial plan doesn't show any numbers past 238. The dial plan is scattered. Heres part of it:

A ID #: 1 200 7300 ID #: 2 201 7301
A ID #: 3 202 7302 ID #: 4 203 7303
A ID #: 5 204 7304 ID #: 6 7100 7305
A ID #: 7 206 7306 ID #: 8 224 7307
A ID #: 9 208 7308 ID #: 10 209 7309
A ID #: 11 210 7310 ID #: 12 211 7311
A ID #: 13 212 7312 ID #: 14 213 7313
A ID #: 15 214 7314 ID #: 16 215 7315
A ID #: 17 216 7316 ID #: 18 217 7317
A ID #: 19 218 7318 ID #: 20 219 7319
A ID #: 21 220 280 ID #: 22 221 7321

Any way to find out the end of this entry?

That's the local extension numbers you printed. I thought you wanted to make an extension appear on the far end system? That's done under udp.

Thats the far end system that I just posted. My end is in the 100 extensions. We have a trunk over here that needs to be forwarded to a 200 extension on the other system. Im sure theres an easy way to do this, but I am relatively new to it.

Why not just use a forward button and set it to 200. If you can call x200 from your site, you can forward to it.

We have a direct line that has a trunk number connected to my site, that needs to ring at the other site. The phone will not be by anyone to forward the call to.
