Hi! I am new to reportnet. Can someone guide me about adding date range prompt in reportnet. Without adding any date prompts, If I write a expression in main query " Specific Date Of Service >= (2/3/2004) and Specific Date Of Service <= ( 7/2/2004)." It works and I get the report output.
I tried adding two Date Prompts, for start service date and end service date and selected the model items for both prompts as Specific Date of service with different parameters. I also added a expression in main quey "Specific Date Of Service >= (?StartServiceDate?) and Specific Date Of Service <= (?EndServiceDate?)
It does not work.
I did not find any date range prompt in toolbox of reportnet. I will really appreciate help. Thanks

I am having a simular problem with dates. I am only using a single date prompt but the compares do not seem to work.

OK I figured out a work around. You can create a calc field and do a adddate with add days of 0. You can then use this field to compare your dates

I actually think I can help. In order to create a date range prompt, you should do the following:

1)Go to the Page Explorer bar and click on Prompt Page.
2)Scroll down on the Insertable Objects Pane until you see "Date Prompt". Double-click, or click and drag over into the prompt page.
3)Click on the date prompt. The look at the General tab in the Properties Pane. About half way down is a field called Range. Click "Yes" on this field.

You should now have a date range prompt that the users can select whatever range of dates are needed for the report.

I hope this helps.

Jeff
