How to add an AD user without adding an AD group

I'm trying to add an AD user to BOEXI, but I got the following error:

"There was an error while writing data back to the server: Creation of the user hallc cannot complete because the user is not a member in any of the mapped groups."

I can only add an AD usere if the users belong to a group that I already mapped. is this a bug, or this should be the way to work?

Hi,
AD authentication appears to be Group-based only , as far as I know, so you would need to create an AD group first..
