I need some help adding 'alias' entries to my AIX 4.3.3 system (ksh). I have successfully added a bunch of alias entries to one machine running CATIA by inserting the alias command in the '/home/catadm/.env' file. All works as advertised. My problem is adding these commands to my other two RS/6000 machines that do not have the CATIA environment. I have tried just about all possible locations including the following:
/home/catadm/.env
/etc/environment
/etc/profile
/ford/blkibm/u/ideasadm/.profile
/ford/blkibm/u/ideasadm/.dtprofile

I can of course start alias via the command line for a particular session but as soon as I log out of CDE I lose the aliases. Does anybody have any ideas as to where to add the alias definitions?

for CDE access
control the $HOME/.dtprofile :the line "DTSOURCEPROFILE=true" must be uncomment.

Pascal.

I have already uncommented the "DTSOURCEPROFILE=true" line in .dtprofile without success.
