I need to add a start & end command line script to a backup policy, master server is windows 2003 sp2. NB 6.0 MP4

Backup Pre-command:

D:\Program Files\OTG\EmailXtender\bin\utils\ExSuspend -suspend -block -timeout 300 -showtime

Backup Post-command:

D:\Program Files\OTG\EmailXtender\bin\utils\ExSuspend -resume -block -timeout 500 -showtime

Please advise. Thanks for your help!!!!

Hello,

You will need to do the following:

On the client, copy <Installpath>\Netbackup\bin\goodies\bpstart_notify.bat
and <Installpath>\Netbackup\bin\goodies\bpend_notify.bat to <Installpath>\Netbackup\bin and add the appropriate commands.

Backup pre-command: bpstart_notify

Backup post-command: bpend_notify

If the bpstart_notify.bat fails, the backup will fail.

Where should I place the command file? On the Master or Client? Thanks, Frank

The scripts should be installed on the client in <Installpath>\Netbackup\bin.
