My Client has a Option 11C mini with q.931; EuroISDN lines connected to the Telecom Carrier. However they do not get CLID showing up on their M3904 telsets from the calling party...
after that check msgi in 96 against the dch to see if your getting clid from the carrier..you are getting number and/or names today from int calls i assume
Thanks all, I have opened up the MSGI for monitoring incoming calls on the D-channel and find no CLID number appearing on the calling number . I have also enabled the CDR on the TTY for incoming calls thru' the Q.931 , however still no CLID..
John,
Should I use a trend Tester direct on the Q.931 circuit..?
Just wandering would there be any difference from the messages received on the D-ch...!
The main problem is the Telco Carrier is adamant they are sending CLID info to the Meridian Switch..!
Cheers...
The DCH you see with MSGI is really the DCH talking to the M1 software. If you connect a Protocol Analyzer to the circuit you will see the raw Q.931 messages. These can also be seen from the maintenance TTY, but you need to have Succession 3.0 software to view it without a special passowrd. This is called DCH Debug mode. There is a SLIGHT possibility that the CLID is actually there, bit you are not seeing it in the DCH messaging you looked at.

you can also see the data in question with a enl msgo x with x=to the dch.. a load 96 command that is only to be used at low traffic.. otherwise you'll never get it turned off.. you can also talk to the switchman at the other end and he will be able to tell you what your sending.. most co switches can post a single channel dch incound msg...
