If I have an email sent to my ex2k svr that is not addressed to my w2k domain, how can it be accepted?

e.g. w2k domain = mydomain.com - email = me@mydomain.com

mail addressed to me@ex.mydomain.com

thanks

Greg

1 - You need to have a registered MX record that states your E2K server is responsible for mail delivered to the second domain.

2 - You need to add the second domain into the Recipient Policy to tell Exchange that it's responsible for mail delivered to that domain.

Worked it out.

It did not like having ex.mydomain.com and mydomain.com as an 'Address Space' in the SMTP connectors properties.

Changed it to * and it now accepts mail for ex.domain.com

Did not change recipient policy

Added an email for user 'Me' as me@ex.mydomain.com (but not set to primary so the reply address goes out as me@mydomain.com not me@ex.mydomain.com
