How should we rebuild an IBM server RAID 5

Hi,
We have an older IBM server (about 5 years), there are 3 18.2GB SCSI drives. One of them died. We ordered an identical drive to replace the one that is out. Question is, how should we go about replacing the drive? We would normally just pop out the dead drive and replace it and the server usually automatically rebuilds the array. However, there's no serveRaid manager installed on the server, so, we're not sure how to rebuild the array. We're thinking of installing the software but we're afraid that it would require firmware updates since it is an older system. Is this a valid concern?
If so, can somebody help us in the step by step process of installing rebuilding the RAid.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

pull out the bad one (with the yellow light on) and replace it with the new one and the rebuild will start automatically. Thats all handled in the firmware instead of ServeRAID Manager.
