All,

Does anyone know how much Avaya charges to apply the DST patches to CM? I would like to report back to my management team on how much I saved the company by patching all 70+ of my systems myself. Thanks in advance!

I just had 2 sites upgraded by Avaya techs, they charged $100 site visit and $300/hr per tech - double time since the work had to be done after hours....plus materials, between $2-3K each, so nice job!!!

Are you asking about Communication Manager or CMS? for communication manager you can do them yourself. it's probaly a little late to try & get Avaya to commit to 70 sites in time for 3/11

Just for CMS Avaya charges $2,362.50

For customers that prefer to have Avaya install these PCNs, the C&SI CMS Provisioning team can perform that service at a fixed billable rate. ($2,362.50 USD) Contact your account team to place your order and to schedule your implementation of the PCN by C&SI.

p08757,

I just loaded patch 12514 in about 15 minutes using faq690-6507. Very easy, don't pay Avaya.

TechJimF -- I've just finished over 70 sites. I want to tell management how much I saved them. They typically have Avaya load all patches.

I called Avaya on Monday to ask a question about the DST patch, and the person ask if I would like them to do it. No Charge.

Odd. I didn't ask them to, just wanted to confirm I had the right patch load.

I think that is the only time they have ever been helpful.

My R11 Definity- is set to "rule 0" on DST... (manual time change required).
But I have only the one switch here onsite to be concerned with...
