How many steps in ESEutil.exe

Does anyone have any ideas how many steps this utility goes through when executing. We are on the 5 step now it is deleting unicode fixup table. Not sure how much more time it will take. Any ideas?

Depends on which option you're running - offline defrag?

They used to say 3-4GB per hour on older server hardware, modern servers might chew through it quicker than that.

Why are you running ESEUTIL? There has to be a pretty good reason to take the DB offline to use it.

How long is a piece of string?

This depends on processor power, disk speed, database issues and which command line switches you are using.

Could take 24 hours though I've rarely seen things take more than 12.

There are only 5 steps but as mentioned it depends on your DB and it's size for how long it can go.
