Wanting to get 911 caller location information up to snuff. But before I make my ERL list, I'm curious if anyone knows the max. number of digits I can have in an ERL.
I'm thinking I could make the number mean something:
1st digit - Building identifier based on our coordinated dial plan 4-digit dialing and DID ranges
2nd digit - Floor number of building number (for multi-building campuses)
3rd and/or 4th digit - Random number assigned to a location or department on/within the floor/building
What do you guys use?
