Hi

This is just a general enquiry to find out appoximately how long it takes to get IP licences from Avaya. We ordered licecnes over a month ago through our supplier and still waiting for the licences.

Just wondering if you experience similar delays or if our supplier just takes forever?!

Thank you

Its mostly about 2-4 weeks but of course there are various things that can happen so that you will not get the licences without upgrading the system and so on...
But there is also a chance to get emergency licences in a faster (more expensive) way ... ;)

Thank you for your response.

We have an ordered an additional 10 x IP Licences and no upgrade is required. 4 weeks seems like an extremely long time to wait for Avaya to create a licence key! :(

Seems a bit long, switches at release 5.0 and above can use the electronic auth code process in KRS so there's nothing to ship. Chase the supplier :)

As an authorized partner we are required to purchase all software and hardware from Avaya Certified Distributors. If we do not, that is automatic grounds to lose your partnership with Avaya.

I have asked for IP set quotes from our Distributor and each time their lead time is 30 days. There is a lot of work done behind the scenes to make sure that your information if updated properly with Order Management, software keycodes are created and delivery to your site and implementation scheduled as to not interfere with your business.

I would wait until next week, as we have always been pretty lucky with the 30 day wait, and then press your vendor.

If e-auth codes you do need to ensure partner has done their piece properly, we did an audit on a large switch recently and customer realised their local partner hadn't applied all the authcodes that they'd ordered.

For normal physical upgrades you should get a shipment with a license sheet, at least that way you know KRS has the latest and greatest keycode already.
